Atlas Apassionata (13-limit Romantic-Style Microtonal Classical)
A serenade in the tradition of romantic composers like Borodin and Tchaikovsky, but with a xenharmonic twist. The title is a play on John Cage's Atlas Eclipticalis. One of the first xenharmonic pieces I composed was a 19-tone equal temperament iteration of this song. For a few reasons, I was unhappy with that arrangement, so I decided to re-compose the piece in 13-limit just intonation with an expanded sound palette, better production values (Steinberg's Halion VST blows Sibelius' built-in sounds out of the water in my opinion), and the touch of a now older and (hopefully) wiser composer/orchestrator. The video element is just some stock cloud footage altered to have a pronounced 80's VHS / vaporwave aesthetic and filtered through the lens of my synesthesia.
