About Riff of the Day:
I wanted to make this a creative exercise. I’ve been playing guitar for most of my life, over 30 years now. All kinds of styles, genres, feelings, etc have been a part of my repertoire. The idea is to grab an instrument and see what comes out in that magical instantaneous kind of way music can happen. I’m challenging myself to do it as much as possible between playing 300 shows a year, writing and recording, spending much needed time with my family, and God knows what else. Alan Price has spent most of his life at home in the lowcountry of South Carolina. He developed his talents and solidified his love for music as a guitarist , performing thousands of shows with some of the southeast’s more prominent rock & roll bands including Souls Harbor and Madam Adam. He still resides in Charleston, SC with his wife and two daughters which he holds as his most powerful inspiration.
