我出生在一个南方的沿海小镇。小镇的北面有座观音古寺，现名为“清泉寺”。相传是南海观音的菩萨道场。
在我八九岁的时候，经常会去爬在海边的一座石山。由于固定的路线爬多了，自然就是得心应手，如履平地。
记得一年的暑假，跟着比我大一点的孩子爬那座石山，他往哪里里爬，我也跟着往哪里爬。全然没有注意到已经偏离了自己熟悉的路线。爬到半山腰，发现自己爬得越来越吃力，等大孩子爬到山顶时，我却还趴在那块石壁上，上也上不去，下也下不来。耳边传来“呼呼”的风声；身下十几米深的地方，海浪不断地拍打着礁石，发出“啪啦，啪啦”的声音；身边的一块小石头滚落下去，一下子就被海浪无情地吞噬了。
我心想：遭啦，有危险啦！上，肯定是上不去的。下，怎么样才能一步一步地下到地面呢？除非是摔下去，可是，这有十几米高呀！更何况，下面还是波涛汹涌的大海。
经过这番惊吓，7，8月的夏天，竟然吓出了一身的冷汗，头脑一片空白，手脚也冰凉，不听使唤。整个身体凝固住了，好像等待着死神的降临，这是我平生第一次感受到死亡的逼近！
这时，忽然想起母亲平时经常这样教导我们：如果遇到自己无法摆脱的危险时，就速念观音菩萨的名号，请她来保佑你，脱离险境。
“观音菩萨，我是陈某某，现在我在某地，遇到什么危险，请快来救我！”我在心里一遍又一遍地这样默念。然而，刚念完第3遍，我明显地感觉到一阵阵的暖流，从我趴在的那块石壁上，传入了我的身体。很快，大脑的意识开始恢复了清醒，身体也恢复了暖和，血液开始畅快地流动，手脚也变得灵活有力了。于是我克服了恐惧，慢慢的往下退，等到双脚踏在松软的沙滩上时，我知道，脱险了！
“多谢观音菩萨保佑！多谢观音菩萨保佑！……”我的内心充满了感激与喜悦！
所以，各位父母，平时一定要嘱咐您的孩子远离危险，假如遇到自己无法摆脱的危险时，一定要念颂观音菩萨的名号（或者观音心咒），平时就要诸恶莫作，众善奉行，这样一定能得到她的保佑！
再过几天就是3月10日（农历二月十九）。也就是观音菩萨的诞辰，为感念菩萨的慈悲与救护，特别和各位分享自己的亲身经历，希望各位也能得到菩萨的庇佑！祝愿各位朋友：身心健康，智慧增长，业消障除！

I was born in a southern coastal town. To the north of the town is an ancient Guanyin Temple, now known as "Qingquan Temple". According to legend, it is the Bodhisattva Dojo of Avalokitesvara in the South China Sea.
When I was eight or nine years old, I often went to a rocky mountain by the sea.
One, follow the old me to climb the rocky mountains, rocky mountains, and rocky mountains. Wherever he climbs, wherever I am, I, I, and I will also follow everywhere. I didn't notice at all that my father was struggling more and more. When the older child climbed to the top of the mountain, I was still lying on the stone wall, unable to get up or down. The sound of "huhu" wind came from my ears; at a depth of more than ten meters below me, the waves kept hitting the stones, making the sound of "pa la, pa la"; a small stone next to my body rolled down, and suddenly Swallowed mercilessly by the waves.
I thought to myself: I am in danger, it is dangerous! Go up, definitely can't go up. Next, how can we get down to the ground step by step? Unless it's a fall, but it's more than ten meters high! What's more, there is still a rough sea below.
After this fright, in the summer of July and August, I broke out in a cold sweat, my mind went blank, my hands and feet were cold, and I couldn't control myself. The whole body froze, as if waiting for death to come, this was the first time in my life that I felt the approach of death!
At this time, I suddenly remembered that my mother often taught us this way: if you encounter a danger that you cannot get rid of, you should quickly recite the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva and ask her to protect you and escape from danger.
"Guanyin Bodhisattva, I am Chen XX, I am in a certain place now, if I encounter any danger, please come and save me!" I said silently in my heart over and over again. However, just after reading it for the third time, I could clearly feel waves of warm currents entering my body from the rock wall I was lying on. Soon, the consciousness of the brain began to regain clarity, the body also recovered warmth, the blood began to flow freely, and the hands and feet became flexible and strong. So I overcame my fear and stepped back slowly. When my feet were on the soft sand, I knew I was out of danger!
"Thank you Guanyin Bodhisattva for your blessing! Thank you Guanyin Bodhisattva for your blessing!..." My heart was filled with gratitude and joy!
Therefore, parents, you must tell your children to stay away from danger. If you encounter danger that you cannot get rid of, you must chant the name of Guanyin Bodhisattva (or the mantra of Guanyin Bodhisattva). Do good deeds, and you will definitely get her blessing!
In a few days, it will be March 10 (the nineteenth day of the second lunar month). It is also the birthday of Guanyin Bodhisattva. To commemorate Bodhisattva's compassion and protection, I would like to share my personal experience with you. I hope you can also receive the blessing of Bodhisattva!
