This video is about a day in my life as a london plumber, In this weeks Video we Go to a Boiler I visited Sometime ago To Powerflush. They have Insurance scheme that covers them for Faults etc. The last time the Engineer visited they replaced a Motorised Valve, But this time it was a Different Engineer. The issue started as a Simple No heating issue, when the Engineer checked the system he found the stat was faulty a Salus Wireless the programmer was ordered but on his return he decided to check the Flue on the boiler. When he came inside he told the customer that there was a big problem and that someone could have died ! with that in mind the customer called me and I told them that if the flue had gone to order a new one. When i arrived the customer had decided to buy an all singing stat and a new flue and plume kit. With 24 hrs of Electrical work under my belt I was not In the right frame of mind to what happened. Screaming kids when all you want to do is THINK is not a good combo espc wiring centres. On the first day most work was done however I found the Boiler was Low voltage...Arghh the Mv are 240v and switching. I wanted to keep it simple so in The future if an engineer had to change the valve they wouldn't get the low and hi wrong thus Blowing up the Pcb. Having checked with another Engineer West hampstead plumbers he assured that the relay switch would work. Ordered and installed all works. Thinking on your feet and getting an Id boiler back to life.
