Troy Anderson: - The first time that I thought I might be a lawyer someday as I was about 12 years old, and I was close friends with my older sister a year and a half older than me, and she is a lawyer now. We just enjoyed having debates about whatever it was it didn't matter. My mom thought that we were fighting all the time, but the reality was, we just picked whatever topic and just debated.

And that was always so exciting and thrilling to me and I love, from when I went to law school, you know, any experience that I could get, getting in front of a court, getting in front of the judge or the jury and telling the stories, because ultimately, that's most of what we do in the courtroom is telling a story, if we're telling a story to, you know, to explain our clients to the jury or to the judge, maybe we're explaining how our client is innocent. Or maybe we're explaining how our client is a good person who deserves a break.

Ultimately, it's about telling those stories and about explaining your side, that I find really thrilling and really exciting.

The reality is every client's different and I like different clients for different reasons, but the relationships that stand out to me the most and the times that I've been the happiest to be able to help, are people who are facing a situation that seems impossible, you know, maybe they've got a career that's on the line.

I've had clients before that had their status within the United States in jeopardy because of false charges against them we were able to win, those cases before and the sense of relief for that client is palpable, it's powerful, and that's what makes it all worth it.

Helping someone come in, in the beginning, who's so stressed out and so scared, and being able to walk with them throughout the process and come to a resolution that they feel good about, that they feel okay about, that they feel empowered to get back to their lives. That's what I like the most about, about helping clients.
