"There are two ways how you can look at the nationality when you want to be united based on your language,   your religion, your upbringing, your skin colour, your past, pretty much, your traditions.  And that's how most nationalities work, right? And the other way, when you want to unite based on your skills  and your talents and your values, and where you want to head in the future,  it doesn't matter where you come from, as long as you believe in what we all believe in collectively, and then we're going to create that. This is what Singapore is about. So to me, that was everything I sort of needed to know about Singapore. And I also found it very forward-thinking and future-focused. And so when we started YanaTV, it became very important to me that we showcase the variety of voices. Different backgrounds, different education, different religions, different languages, different belief systems. So that. It's it reflects what Singapore is about."
