ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti and Julien Laurens (The Gab and Juls show) are joined by Sid Lowe to look at the shocking front page released by El Mundo in which they revealed the full details of Lionel Messi's 4 year Barcelona contract signed in 2017. The Spanish newspaper revealed Messi would be set to earn over £530million, including performance based bonuses and signing on fee's. Lowe explains why this wasn't a surprise as Messi's salary has never been a secret, however had concerns over the leak and questions whether fans will turn on Barca or Messi. Barcelona recently released their financial details in which the club admit they are in debt of nearly one billion pounds, therefore details of Messi's contract, the biggest in sports history, may cause concern for Barca fans around the world.
