Bank of Namibia Hosts Annual Media Reporting Workshop

The Bank of Namibia hosted the annual Economic Media Reporting Workshop on the 05-06 May 2022, which is aimed at business and economic reporters as well as aspiring journalists, as part of its efforts to improve economic and financial reporting in the country.

The workshop's goal is to provide knowledge on key economic concepts, monetary and fiscal policies, central banking functions, financial intermediation, and other relevant topics while laying a foundation in general economic and financial reporting.

This year's workshop will featured a facilitated discussion on the relevance of newsroom specialisations, as well as the importance of economic reporting in particular, titled 'Quo Vadis Beat Reporting'. The Editor of
Business Today, Mr. Lukanyo Mnyanda based in South Africa,
participated in this session.
