HOMEMADE MANTUAN SCHIACCIATINE
The schiacciatina (or chisolina) from Mantua is a dry and low crunchy bread, very fragrant, with a square or rectangular shape, it has been known since the time of the Gonzagas with the name of schizzadas, it was consumed by the farmers as an intermezzo in the work of the fields. You can eat at all hours of the day: with jam and a glass of milk, or with cold cuts, cheeses and a good glass of dry white wine. The schiacciatina should not be confused with the focaccia, seasoned only with oil.
