Skipping Drills To Improve Running Technique And Prevent Injury - Basic

Skipping is considered the pre-eminent running drill to hone correct technique at all speeds. Of course precise and explosive technique is especially important for sprinting, but it's also very important for joggers too (watch ‘Brad Kearns Running Form video - link below). Doing these drills also helps improve mobility, flexibility, and balance, and strengthens the muscles and connective tissues so you can absorb and benefit from high intensity sprint sessions without getting injured.

Essentially, skipping isolates certain phases of the running stride to train your central nervous system to fire muscles in the proper order with precise form to generate maximum propulsive force with each stride.
