Is the Amex Blue Business Plus the best Starter Business Credit Card in 2025? Is the Amex Blue Business Plus even still worth it in 2025? What if you don’t own your own business? While the Amex Blue Business Plus isn’t as flashy as The Amex business Platinum or the Amex Business gold or even the Chase ink business cards, it is still a great beginner business credit card. And with no annual fee you can earn 2x membership reward points on all your purchases up to $50,000 a year! For many this can be a limiting factor that may lead some people to use the venture X business card, but for more start ups this is more then enough of a limit.

But what about if you don’t have an official business? Can you still apply for business credit cards without a business? And the simple answer is yes! (Most likely) I only say most likely because you technically do need to have a business in order to be approved. BUT you can be your own business if you apply as a sole proprietor like I did!
