But after I talk about the cards I added in 2024, will talk about the next couple cards I plan to add in my 2025 roadmap. These being the Capital One Savor, and the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Now I can already hear you guys in the comments asking why I’m getting the savor if I already have the Amex Gold Card for my food spending. And the simple answer is because while the Amex gold card is the best card for my food spending right now, I want to have a backup plan for the gold card. As you all know I’m sure, American Express loves to increase annual fees every few years and add credits to compensate. And frankly the recent trend scares me a bit. Especially with cards like the Amex platinum and Amex gold. So while the gold card works for me right now, I’m willing to bet that it won’t always. And with capital one being so stringent on who they approve for their cards I want to get the card now while I can. The welcome bonus doesn’t hurt either of course. Even tho the capital one is currently being sued for interest rates scams, as long as you use your card responsibly it shouldn’t be a problem. But always remember banks are not your friend.
