Baby Wrens Fledge onto Porch | Wild Bird Moments

A pair of wrens nest on my porch every year and they are so amusing to watch. This year, due to lockdown, I was aroundto film the first two chicks as they fledged the nest - and even caught the moment on my iPhone!
Watch this short film of their first few days as these cute wren chicks figure out how to survive. There are plenty of mistakes - one baby bird gets trapped in my recycling bin and another ends up in the log basket. But best of all is the wren mum, who dusts herself in my ash bucket. Watch her shake off the cloud of ash and settle back to finding food for her clutch of wren chicks!
