Documentary - HMS Victory

Before Nelson's famous flagship, there was another HMS Victory. Launched in 1737, she was the most powerful and technologically advanced warship in the world, the pride of the Royal Navy. In October 1744, while returning from a successful mission under the command of Admiral Sir John Balchen, she sailed into a catastrophic storm in the English Channel and vanished with her entire crew of over 1,100 men.

For more than 260 years, her fate remained one of history's greatest maritime mysteries. Was she wrecked on the treacherous rocks of the Channel Islands as everyone believed?

Join us as we explore the story of this legendary vessel, the devastating storm that sealed her fate, and the modern-day discovery that finally answered the question of what happened to the lost HMS Victory.
