dizziness when you stand up
constipation that will humble you real quick

this isn’t just “drink more water” advice

this is survival after surgery

your blood volume literally drops when you’re dehydrated
that’s why you get that lightheaded, spinny feeling

and when you’re not hydrated… your body also struggles to move things through your system

aka… bathroom problems you don’t want

so yeah
it matters

a lot

now let’s be real though

it’s hard

like actually hard

you’re not crazy if you feel like you’re constantly behind

so here’s what actually helps

keep water within arm’s reach at all times
not in your bag… not in the kitchen… like glued to you

set timers if you have to
every 10–15 minutes, take a few sips

stop trying to “catch up” by chugging
that just makes you uncomfortable and doesn’t fix the habit

use different temperatures
some of you do better with ice cold, some with room temp… figure out what goes down easier

and if plain water is making you want to fight someone
add electrolytes or a splash of something… just don’t turn it into a sugar bomb

and most importantly

start earlier in the day

if you wait until 2pm to start drinking water… it’s already a losing game
