NIGHT FLIGHT / DRUMS ONLY

I've had several requests for drums only posts so I created a playlist called DRUMS ONLY and will be posting more vids to it regularly. Here is Night Flight, as recorded for the People's Front Of Zeppelin collab I did last year. The hihat intro was left off in favor of a count off and we added it later.

I really love the drum part to this song... it has a lot of very distinctive Bonham-isms, including deft footwork, a funky two handed hihat beat, and classic fills including the "Stairway" fill. This song really sounds like something off a soul record from the 60's , like Stax or Atlantic. Jones and Bonham have a real soul groove going on here.
