LZ's THANK YOU LIVE * DRUMS ONLY DRUM COVER * ORLANDO 1971

This is Thank You from Orlando, FL Aug 31 1971. I have listened to this show many times and always loved it, but when I got the request I thought, uh oh, I gotta really listen to this tune closely because the truth is...even though I'm familiar with the show, I didn't know the whole version! So I basically did a crash course listening to it today and here it is. For the most part I am playing what Bonzo played, but its not a complete transcription. I tried to especially copy everything he plays during Jimmy's solo which was really tremendous drumming. This is a special version because his interplay with Jimmy on the guitar solo is just so complimentary and inspired. When they were really in sync , you can hear how locked in Bonzo would be with Jones and Page , as they composed on the spot. This is a great example of that superb level of communication and improvisatory skill that they all shared. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks to Rob for the request!!
