Heat boils are inflamed swellings on the skin which is surrounded by areas of redness. This is because of infection usually happening to the hair follicles or the oil glands the infection can be bacterial. This can be usually seen on the face on the back, underarms, thighs and buttocks. There are various factors other than infection that trigger heat boils. Sometimes the influence of the season happens on your body and when there is poor nutrition, poor hygienic factors obesity, people in diabetic and on faulty diet or inbuilt of toxin within our system. When people develop this they can develop single boils or many boils in single areas or multiple boils at different areas of the body. The first thing other than medications what we can be doing is try and not to touch the infected ones because after a period of time usually these boils get filled with pus and in some cases drains on its own or require medications. The various tips to do to prevent infection from spreading and leaving a scar after healing are to place warm salt water dipped in a cotton and can be applied on the body. This will infact control the inflammation or in cases of mature boils these can mature put, break open and clear on its own. Slices of onion can be placed on the boil or onion can be crushed and the juice can be placed, in immature boil it will take 3 or 4 days to mature up, open up and clear and you can get the boil removed, the other condition that we do is apply turmeric paste on the boil or it can be consumed it is an anti-infective, antiinflammative and also it helps in controlling bacterial infection. Neem leaf paste or neem leaf paste decoctions can be prepared and applied on the boil. Neem is again antinfective, anti-bacterial and antimicrobial which helps in clearing infection and reduces inflammation, in certain cases aloe vera pulp is also applied. Aloe vera is a coolant and anti-inflammatory and all these tips helps in controlling the boil and prevents spread of infection and in case this does not help in cases of chronic heat boils, certain Ayurvedic purification treatment incorporating the Panchkarma treatments is given along with medication.
