The architectural jewel Schloss Belvedere from the 18th century is celebrating its 300th birthday and has always been an important place of art and culture.
So it was about time that I walked through the beautiful park again.
The summer residence of Vienna's most famous general, Prince Eugene of Savoy, took 10 years to build.
It was one of the first public museums in the world - free admission from 1777.
History was also made in Belvedere Palace, because on May 15, 1955, Leopold Figl and representatives of the four occupying powers Great Britain, France, the Soviet Union and the USA signed the Austrian State Treaty and finally presented it on the balcony. Not so long ago there was war in many parts of the world.
