Live: NASA's Artemis 2 Moon mission makes its closest approach to the lunar surface

Watch live coverage as the crew of NASA's Artemis 2 mission go further from Earth than any other humans as they travel behind the far side of the Moon. They will break the distance record set in 1970 by the Apollo 13 astronauts at 1:56 p.m. EDT (1756 UTC). Closest approach to the lunar surface will come at 7:02 p.m. EDT (2302 UTC).

NASA astronaut and mission commander Reid Wiseman leads the crew, which includes fellow NASA astronauts Victor Glover and Christina Koch along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen.
