#1 Best Low Back Stretch for Lower Back Pain Relief
The lower back has a lot of important muscles, but when it comes to relieving lower back pain the best muscle to stretch is commonly thought to be the psoas muscle. The psoas muscle is a common cause of low back pain and tightness. It is critical to make sure your psoas muscle is flexible to decrease lower back pain.
The psoas as a lower back muscle gets shortened and tight with prolonged sitting. A common sign we see with psoas and low back tightness is getting out of a chair and having to walk around stooped over. After walking around stooped over for a minute you can slowly start to straighten up. If that painful posture describes you this low back stretch might help.
When low back muscles, especially the psoas, are tight they put a lot of pressure on the lumbar discs. As disc pressure increases it can lead to bulging of the low back discs and also lumbar disc pain. Getting back pain relief by stretching the lower back and psoas muscle is taught in this video.
We teach you about common signs of psoas muscle tension. You will learn how a tight psoas muscle can cause lower back pain and tightness. Lastly, you will learn how to stretch the psoas muscle and get relief for back pain.
