*CLASSIC GREEN* - Central Minnesota Damaging Wind Event - (Uprooted Trees & Blown Over Shed) 6/11/17

A line of storms swept through central Minnesota creating widespread wind damage including uprooted trees and a blown over shed.

Keep Notes: The green tint in the storm was exceptional! Some of the best I've seen in all my years of chasing! The reason why some storms appear green-tinted is still not 100% sure, but what is sure is that is it caused by the scattering of light and how some colors are absorbed and others are not. As to how? Not clear.

Debunking the Myth: Green skies do not mean large hail or a tornado is coming - but it does indicate a strong/severe thunderstorm and should be taken as a keynote to be aware of the possibility of large hail and tornadoes.
