Try diaphragmatic breathing, also called belly breathing. It helps your lungs expand more fully and reduces shortness of breath.
Place one hand on your chest, one on your belly. Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds, letting your belly rise. The hand on your chest should stay relatively still.
Then exhale slowly through pursed lips for 6 seconds. Try it for 1–2 minutes.
This small daily habit can improve your breathing, calm your nervous system, and help you feel more in control.
