Vintage Recipe- Glazed Strawberry Pie

Let's make another vintage recipe! Today's video we are making a Glazed Strawberry Pie. I used my trusty Cooking Magic cookbooks from 1955 again, and they did not disappoint. If you decide to make this pie, please tag me on instagram @lacifay I'd love to see what you make!! Here's the recipe :
Glazed Strawberry Pie
Set out 1 baked 9 inch pie shell
1 qt strawberries rinsed and hulled
Set aside 2 cups whole berries. Crush remaining berries with fork and set aside.
Mix in saucepan in order-
1/4 cup plus 2 TBSP sugar
1 1/2 TBSP cornstarch
1/4 cup plus 2 TBSP water
Stirring gently and constantly, bring rapidly to boiling and cook for 3 minutes or until mixture is transparent. Stir in crushed berries.
Blend in-
1tsp lemon juice
3-4 drops red food coloring
Cool mixture slightly with pan set in bowl of ice and water. Cover and set aside.
Beat together until blended-
1 pkg (3 oz) cream cheese
1 TBSP orange juice
Spread over bottom of pie shell; cover with whole berries. Pour cooled strawberry mixture over berries. Chill in refrigerator. Top with Sweetened Whipped Cream.
