Arduino balancing beam with ultrasonic distance sensor and servo
Here is a small Arduino-based balancing beam I made just for fun. It consists of an Arduino-nano, an ultrasonic range finder and a small servo. I've implemented a PID software library. The ultrasonic sensor is somewhat noisy, so the beam sometimes bounces, eventually I'll have to change the sampling rate and take an average of the distance values. This beam has an automatic mode and a manual mode in which the beam can be tilted with a potentiometer.
This machine was of course made just for fun as a hobby, I realize it has no industrial capacity.
