Arduino chip sorting machine with color recognition and robotic arm, Fischertechnik

This Arduino chip sorting machine sorts blocks based on color, size and material. The mechanics of the machine are from Fischer Technik. The entire machine is controlled by one Arduino UNO using I2C bus. Another Arduino (nano) has been attached to play the sounds initiated by the status of the machine. These two micro-controllers communicate via serial communication. These sounds are nothing more than a series of PWM frequencies switched tone-by-tone on an output to which a small speaker is attached. The I2C controlled LCD-display on this machine also works and displays machine status, unfortunately the camera resolution wasn't high enough to see it.
The robotic arm consists of two servos and a bi-polar stepper motor for the base axis, all of which are connected to the Arduino via an Adafruit v2.3 Motorshield (also I2C bus). The arm can rotate 345°, meaning the arm can also deliver material to the next machine.

This whole thing was just made for fun following my hobby, it is of course not capable of real industrial usage.

Thanks for watching.
