Copper Box Update - April 2023

It is with great delight we announce works have commenced on our prestigious development in Crosby, Liverpool – Copperbox.

We recently commissioned Jensen Hughes our fire consultants to produce a detailed report on the existing structure, with the external cladding being the main point of focus. They are comfortable that the cladding panels meet all current building regulations.

Acoustic testing is being carried out this week to determine what measures need to be taken to ensure sound migration between each apartment, and from the external environment are kept to a minimum.

Both reports were immediately passed on to our architectural partners Snow who are currently designing an internal lining system which incorporates appropriate fire and sound barriers to conform to all current rigorous standards recently introduced.

On site the services isolation is now complete, and our soft strip/demolition contractor has commenced stripping out partitions, ceilings, floor finishes and furniture from all floors of the building. This work is anticipated to take 4 weeks to complete.

Once complete it will allow the fit out works to commence, starting from the top floor - then working down chronologically to the ground floor. We are due to place the dry lining contract in the next few days which is the first major package to be carried out to facilitate the revised layout.

We have reached a huge milestone on commencing works – which will be complete by December this year.

Exciting times lay ahead for this scheme which is fully sold out, and as always – we are already looking forward to issuing our next update which will show works moving on at great pace.
