Bayonetta 3: Chapter 4 - Worlds Apart (Standard, All 8 Verses)

Three Chapters and a Side Chapter later, here comes a new "Arc", so to speak.

Bayonetta returns back to Thule after spending time in an alternate "Tokyo" universe, but soon she shall find herself in yet another alternate universe. Just be sure to have her explore the islands she's on and find all of the Verses and pickups it has before moving on to the next Ginnungagap.

After that next rift trip, the universe Bayonetta lands in next has her in some kind Ancient China land, specifically the Great Wall of China itself!

It was under attack by the Homunculi, and they were clearly winning against the soldiers that bravely fought against them. Bayonetta decided that she needed to lend a hand and join this war against Singularity.

You will cross through different pathways along the Great Wall of China. From long, seamless bridges to destroyed, fractured ones, and there will be several temples in-between, as well.

The Demon Masquerade that you get from the Ignis Araneae Yo-Yo isn't just a speedy or swingy spider dash, you can also use that form to cross over lava without taking any burning damage.

Later on, Bayonetta gains a new vision. A Chinese-themed Homonculi was about to ravage another army, but their lives were saved when THEIR Bayoneta came to their leading rescue to drive the Homonculi with a massively-long Infernal Beast that... looked a living train...

Our Bayonetta then subsequently and temporarily gained this beast: Wartrain Gouon.

Gouon is a very unusual Infernal Beast to control with Demon Slave. You first have to set up his rails to ride through, so in a battle, you'll have to set those rails along an enemy's path to have Gouon run them over.

Other things you can do is raise the height of Gouon's rails, still order basic attacks to him, and even blow his whistle and stoke his flames to hit harder.

But be careful with this, as it will make Gouon more likely to go berserk and attack Bayonetta, herself. He, like other demons, can also learn additional attacks from his own Skill Tree.

This beast is pretty weird to control than others, but I feel like it can be one of the best demons in the game damage-wise if you know how to use him right.

Sometimes you will have to use Gouon to solve puzzles like hitting certain enemies and targets in a in single ride. After you solve such a puzzle, you fight the Chinese Homonculi, Virga, that Bayonetta just saw in her vision.

Further ahead, some of the challenge Verses will also have you use Gouon, such as using him to hit 8 enemies in a single run, and some of them will be in the air.

For the final Verse of this Chapter, Verse 8, Bayonetta finally runs back into Viola, who was having a somewhat rought time against another tough Homonculi. Bayonetta arrived just in time to see how well the witch-in-training was fighting.

Things were looking up to Viola for a moment, but then a huge bell fell on her to dampen that. Viola turned out to be claustrophobic from that no matter how much she wanted to deny that from Bayonetta.

You as Bayonetta will fight alongside Viola against this Homonculi, and you get to do this to Viola's rockin' battle theme!

The Climax will even have the both of them contribute to finishing the monster off.

Viola celebrated her victory against the Homonculi by sharing a High Five with Bayonetta. Bayonetta reluctantly acquiesced to the favor, but was annoyed with her new... "apprentice" (so to speak). Viola tried to excuse the lousiness of her fighting skills, so Bayonetta had to give the "Kitty" a rather firm lesson about watching her own tail.

She showed Viola the Chaos Gear she found from the Tokyo universe. These two witches need all five plus Dr. Sigurd's help (via Jeanne) for them to reach the Alphaverse and defeat Singularity. Bayonetta couldn't trust clumsy Viola with even two of those Chaos Gears, so she took them both for herself.

Viola hated being called "Kitty". She reminded Bayonetta of her actual name very proudly and profoundly, and if that wasn't enough, Luka then stepped into the scene to smugly tell Viola off about earning enough of Bayonetta's respect to be called by her actual name.
