Ford Focus 2008 Windshield Washer Jet Blocked Nozzle Spray Disassemble Washer Tank.#Read description

Update 05/11/2022:
From a helpful viewer :
If its the filter that's blocked you can get to it by taking some bolts off the mudguard panel thing in the wheel arch and bending it out, to give access to go up behind the wing panel and find the hose and inline filter. Take it off and replace or clean. Might save you from having to all the stuff on this vid with the pump.
Original Description:
Quick and messy post-mortem video but after I applied this fix the washers were happily spraying full pressure again.I hope this saves you some money!

This job took me about an hour and a half top to bottom, I didn't know what I was doing that's why. Hopefully this video will shorten the job for you. On a difficulty scale it's about a 5/10 (I'm a non mechanic)

The following description is for those who couldn't hear me over the windy video.

As many forums and videos advise, use a methodical approach to diagnose the fault. Each step is a little harder than the rest, the last resort is a full disassembly of system.

These fixes all assume that your pump/pump fuse is fine (if your pump makes the normal whining/whirring noise when you press the button it should mean your pump is working fine) If pump is not making any noise then this video isn't for you.

First, stick a pin in and out of the nozzle holes to check the holes are clear of grit/dirt.

Second, go under the hood and take off the hose from the nozzle then press the washer button and hopefully water pours out. If it doesn't try putting a BBQ skewer or something down the pipe if possible to check for chunky dirt blocking the rubber pipe (unlikely). Another trick which is *not recommeded* is to sanitise the rubber hose, then put your mouth on it and blow hard to try and force liquid back up the system to dislodge anything stuck, this risks legionella and other nasty infections so I didn't try it..

If none of the above has worked then your blockage is probably further down the line somewhere.

Take off your driver side front wheel with the car jacked up.

Take off the plastic spray shroud. I think it had one bolt on the bottom, three on the inside and one on the front.

Take off the bolt securing the washer fluid funnel, it's located next to the neck of the funnel where you pour the washer in.

Take off the two bolts securing the water tank to the car frame, both are found underneath the tank. Left and right. Give it a wiggle and the tank should plop out (don't let it or all your wires will pop off).

Pump and filter are located to the left of the tank (nearer the steering wheel). Take both off (just pull) then clean and reassemble it all.

Hope it helps someone, glad to answer any questions.
