Why a #Katana Might Suck in the #Apocalypse

Before you whip out the torches and pitchforks... no, I'm not saying that the katana is a bad sword. Just that it would be bad in a (post)-apocalyptic scenario (with or without zombies).

I reviewed a high-end katana with real hamon just recently, and although it cut well it's much more difficult to maintain and repair than a through-hardened mono-steel blade (especially with limited resources & time).
