The 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League has been quite an entertaining one so far and with tournament slowly moving towards the business end, things are surely getting more spiced up. Every game from hereon becomes important, especially for the teams that have not been consistent and two of those, Islamabad United and Karachi Kings will be locking horns in the 24th match at Rawalpindi.

Both teams have blown hot and cold this season and have won three and lost four games so far. Islamabad United though have played one extra game that was washed out due to rain and after going down against Lahore Qalandars in the last game, they need to get their house in order quickly to take that upwards flight on the points table.

Islamabad United have a fearsome opening pair with dynamic duo of Colin Munro and Alex Hales. Munro has been in good form with 216 runs in 7 innings but Hales has not been at his best and has managed just 106 runs in 6 innings. Their strength though lies in the all-round duo of Agha Salman and Shadab Khan. Agha has been brilliant with the bat while Shadab Khan has also played some sparkling knocks. Shadab has done well with the ball as well, picking 10 wickets in 7 matches but Imad Wasim's form has been a cause of worry.

There is Azam Khan too who has all the potential in the world and there is depth with likes of Faheem Ashraf, Naseem Shah all contributing with the bat in the last game. Naseem is also getting into his groove after a long injury lay-off and if they can all fire in unison, Islamabad United can be pretty hard to stop.

Karachi Kings, on the other hand, played a perfect game in their last encounter against Quetta Gladiators. All the bowlers contributed with Hasan Ali being the star of the show with a four-wicket haul and they would be looking to continue that momentum in this game.

On the batting front, Shoaib Malik is their leading run-scorer who just seems to get better with each passing year and along with the bat, he has contributed some economical overs with the ball as well. Kieron Pollard is also back in the mix after enjoying his time with Ambanis and Karachi Kings would need the big man to fire along with the likes of Shan Masood and James Vince, they want to notch up wins consistently. Seifert scored a nice 49 in the last game and let's see how Karachi Kings shape up from hereon.
