Stora Vika 2020 | A Free Diving Tribute

I love free diving! It's one of my biggest passions. There is something meditative about holding your breath, swimming down and feeling the pressure of the water around your body.

One of the most important factors for me when it comes to free diving is the visibility. I prefer good visibility and little "life" to bad visibility and plenty of life. Stora Vika is a lime stone quarry 1 hour south of Stockholm. For some reason the water is really clear in Stora Vika. I've experienced a visibility of 12-15 meters several times, but I don't know the exact reason why.

A lot of lakes around Stockholm are brownish and have really bad visibility.

It's from the first time I visited Stora Vika one year ago. A lot has changed since then. I'm a better free diver, have a newer GoPro camera (Hero 8) and used new settings. Several shots were filmed with 240 fps by mistake, so I was able to slow the shots down to 15% of the actual speed.
