How do you explain Autoimmune Encephalitis to your patients?
Bruna explains that AE is a group of diseases under one "umbrella." AE is treated with a combination of therapies, as there is no single treatment that can control the disease. She also highlights how early diagnosis leads to the best outcomes.

Bruna completed medical school at Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo, Brazil, and is a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University in California, USA. Since 2019, she has dedicated her research to autoimmune encephalitis and is passionate about sharing knowledge to empower patients and their families.
