Tas Kabab (Old Fashion Persian Stew) - Cooking with Yousef
Hi Friends -
Today we prepare Tas Kabab (or Tas Kabob) ((تاس کباب )) which is a hearty, old fashion, one pot Persian Stew. This is a seasonal dish, with the special ingredient being "quince". This food is eaten mostly with bread, but you can serve it with rice as well.

Ingredients List:
1 1/2 Pounds Meat (2 Lamb Shanks and beef)
1 to 1 1/4 Cup Aloo Bukhara or Prunes if that is too hard to find (around 20-25)
3 Potatoes
1 1/2 Quince
3 Tomatoes
2-3 Onions
1 Large Carrot
2 Large Tablespoons Tomato Paste (made a mistake in the video calling it teaspoon)
1/4 Teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon paprika
1 Teaspoon turmeric
1 Teaspoon black pepper
1/4 Teaspoon red pepper
1 1/2 Teaspoon salt (too taste)
Liquid saffron
Cooking oil
