PMP verse CAPM... which exam is better?

This comes down to the amount of experience you have. In order to write the PMP exam, you will need a minimum of 3 years of experience. You do not need any work experiences to write the CAPM. The requirements to write either exams are different. The CAPM exam is meant to be an entry-level project management certification, while the PMP is meant for mid to senior level project managers.

The other difference is the exam difficulty. Although both exams are based on the PMBOK guide, the PMP exam is more difficulty than the CAPM. The PMP exam contains more situational questions and it is 200 questions vs 150 questions on the CAPM exam.

You have to choose the right certification for you depending on which stage you are in your career.
