The New Normal: Life With Two Service Dogs | Student-Produced Documentary

The film centers around Dr. Jacqui Lowman, UMPI Associate Professor of Professional Communication and Journalism, and her two service dogs, Saint and Dusty. Follow the journey of this family's transition to a new normal as Saint goes into retirement when Dusty, a youthful, new service dog joins the family. The film shows that we can do anything, even if it's not the same way as everybody else.

This documentary was created by UMPI students Tiffany Smith and Alyssa Sinclair for their fieldwork practicum class in Communication at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
