KTM RCDC 390 E-Throttle Waste Gate Test

Welcome back to the RC4DC 390 project—the ultimate playground for petrol power and custom DC boost! In this episode, we are diving deep into high-level electronic boost control. Instead of relying on a traditional pneumatic actuator, we are utilising a high-response E-Throttle (Electronic Throttle Body) mechanism to precisely actuate our wastegate. This gives us absolute control over our boost targets directly through the MaxxECU Sport. Today, we are wiring up the throttle motor and internal dual TPS sensors, calibrating the H-bridge drive settings in Mtune, and pushing the system through its paces to ensure our CAN-BUS data stream maps perfectly to our custom Arduino Dash.

We are moving full steam ahead on our pipeline: PLAN ➡️ BUILD ➡️ TEST ➡️ REVISE. Let’s see if this electronic setup gives us the lightning-fast response and rock-solid boost control we need!
