Alex Weber - Martyr - Nameless, Faceless, Neverborn

It doesn't get much harder than this! I've been working on this Martyr tune called Nameless, Faceless, Neverborn on and off now for the last few years but I hadn’t been able to get everything up to full speed. There were always a couple of riffs that would just consistently kick my ass... All it really took to get over that tempo hump was just lightening up my touch up. Once I did, I was able to play those trouble riffs at full speed almost immediately and I felt mentally more relaxed when I was playing as well. Wish I had done this sooner!

Obviously, this song (and album) isn’t all about shredding as it’s some of the most interesting, dynamic and well written metal around. I’m sure most of you have heard of these guys before but if not, definitely do yourselves the favor and check them out! There are many bands that I wish were still around making music and Martyr is definitely one of them.
