Dr Jitendra Singh to Inaugurate Lavender Festival in Bhaderwah on June 6

Union Minister Jitendra Singh will inaugurate the fourth edition of the two-day Lavender Festival at Government Degree College, Bhaderwah, on June 6. Organised by CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine under the theme "Lavender Goes Global", the festival will celebrate the success of the Purple Revolution and lavender-based entrepreneurship in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a curtain-raiser press conference, CSIR-IIIM Director Zabeer Ahmed said the festival highlights the achievements of the CSIR-Aroma Mission, which has transformed lavender cultivation into a major livelihood source in the region.
