Delroy Wilson - Dancing Mood, 1966

Born October 5-1948, Delroy Wilson was a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae singer, regarded as Jamaica's first child star.
He was one of Jamaica's most soulful singers and reggae music pioneer, over a 40-year career the singer has unleashed a deluge of hits and a slew of masterpieces. Born in the Kingston neighborhood of Trenchtown, Wilson's phenomenal talent would be his ticket out of the ghetto. He started singing at age 13 and his discovery by producer Coxsone Dodd in 1962 would change the path of Jamaican music.
In 1994, Wilson was recognized by a special plaque awarded him by the Jamaican government for his enduring legacy to Jamaican music. The singer continued recording sporadically during the early '90s, having fallen into a coma shortly before his death, due to problems associated with alcohol abuse, he died March 6, 1995 in Jamaica at age 46 of complications from cirrhosis of the liver.
