When we do the patching the extent of time taken for us to see the response can greatly vary from child to child. In some children we can see the response as early as one month or even two months. In some children it will be between 3 to 4 months when we see the response. Once we start patching we keep observing the child for 1 to 3 weeks and we keep waiting for the response and any signs of improvement. When we see signs of improvement then we continue the patching. The duration for patching is done is purely based on the response of that particular child. If that particular child is showing a good result to patching progressively over every visit subsequently then we keep continuing the patching till we reach a stage no further improvement is happening for at least four months of patching. When we reach this stage then we stop the patching and till this stage if there is a progressive improvement happening we will be continuing patching to the child.
