Easy Hamburger Bun Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup warm water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 1/2 to 4 cups all purpose flour
4 tablespoons butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients except melted butter and half of your flour in the bowl of your mixer
Mix all ingredients, but start off with half of the flour. Gradually add more flour in.
Knead for 6-7 minutes until smooth and bowl has clean sides. When removed from hook, if there is little to no dough sticking is a good indicator it’s kneaded properly.
Remove dough from bowl and oil the bowl and dough, place back in bowl.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and/or a towel and allow dough to rise for at least 1 ½ hours or until doubled in size.
Gently deflate dough with hands and remove from bowl. Form an even shape to divide evenly.
Divide into 12 equal portions (Bigger buns less balls) and make a perfect ball and smash to form a disc.
Place buns on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.
Brush buns with melted butter and cover with plastic wrap or a towel.
Allow to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Brush the risen buns with the remaining melted butter and top with sesame seeds.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown and tap the top to hear a hollow thump.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before serving.
