100k savings | How I made over 100k in savings in my first year of work after grad

Hello :) here's how I saved over 100k (my first liquid 100k in savings) in my first year of work after graduating from college. This is also my whole financial management / personal finance foundation and strategy

When I first started this journey as a struggling student trying to scrape together her first 1k, I didn't expect it to be the catalyst that had me aiming for a better quality of living. At that time, I just wanted to be able to make enough to keep myself fed. Here we are now, and I'm seeing another side to life that's vastly different from where I started when it was just constantly a struggle to make ends meet.

Here's my best practices when handling my personal finance. This is a comprehensive guide made from more than 5 years of learning shared in less than 20 minutes. I hope you find this useful.

This video is mostly about my experiences in the Philippines though there are concepts that can be taken and applied regardless of the area it's being watched in.

This video is for informative purposes only and is by no means a definitive guide (at best, it's insightful and a rough guide). This was made with the intention to share my best practices to those that would like to learn it, all the while contributing to promoting financial literacy as a means to sustainably grow and develop.

Whether you're saving up your first 10k or 100k, this video would hopefully come in handy.

Love and light.
Stay Safe.

PS.

It's still helpful to have an emergency fund as sometimes, your expenses aren't covered fully by the insurance you avail for.

Also didn't get to mention that in times when I didn't have my income released to me and had depleted my EF already, I never borrowed more than I can pay back. As much as possible, I borrowed less than what I usually spend when I have my own money. Then again, I paid it off IMMEDIATELY the moment I had some of my salary was released. I'm mentioning the harsh reality of these things as not everything goes well as we'd like it to but that doesn't mean you have to get beaten down fully by that. There are ways to manage what isn't ideal and still emerge fulfilled.

The savings I'd allot at the end of 2020 all ended up balancing in the end (in all honesty, I actually pocketed more than I had initially aimed for).
I had side hustles just to get by that time so I can continue to have something to spend for my immediate needs and then some to make sure that by the time I have my salary released, I don't end up with nothing left anymore after borrowing money to get by. I still wanted to hit my goal regardless of the circumstances and after I sat down and computed what I had to do, all I did was follow the math and logic behind that. The results just followed.

I highly do not recommend the route that I took, not that I actually had much of a choice, but nevertheless the concepts I shared would still stand as beneficial when it comes to handling personal finances.

This is why this 2021, I'm aiming to build an even bigger EF that could possibly sustain for a year and to build more sources of income.
