Full soundboard recording of the first replacement West End cast. The production closed for a few weeks after LuPone’s departure to implement changes from the Los Angeles run. Betty Buckley & John Barrowman reopened the show to tremendous reviews, giving it new life and (much needed) positive press after LuPone and Faye Dunaway’s public ordeals with ALW. Buckley would go on to play the role on Broadway from July 1995 to August 1996.

This recording was made before Buckley’s appendicitis break in October 1994 - she doesn’t hold the “home” in the climax of “As If We Never Said Goodbye”, which was introduced by Elaine Paige sometime in November or December 1994.
