Bulgarian Tradition of Sirni Zagovesni and Kukeri Festival In Dobrich

After the Live version of my wonderful afternoon in Dobrich the north Eastern part of Bulgaria, I wanted to show you this small but very interesting Bulgarian Festival.

All over Bulgaria there Celebrate Sirni Zagovesni 49 days before easter, all over Bulgaria they have Festivals of Kukeri. I some parts of Bulgaria it is known as Surva. This is depend on the time when it is made.

Here in the city of Dobrich they join the two together, and what fun they have doing so. Though there is no feast as the is meant to be on this evening, the celebrate other rituals associated with this day
