Did Investigators Miss the Real Killer in 1993 Case of Sharon Glover?

In the early morning hours of November 14, 1993, the body of Sharon Glover (6 of Spades, Louisiana), a 27-year-old mother of two, was discovered in a drainage ditch along Mount Olive Church Road, roughly 20 miles outside Shreveport, Louisiana, in Caddo Parish. She had been stabbed multiple times and left on the side of a rural road. Investigators quickly determined that Sharon was likely killed elsewhere and transported to the location where she was found.

Within days, authorities identified Sharon through fingerprints. But despite early leads, physical evidence, and multiple suspects, her murder has remained unsolved for more than 30 years.

In this episode of The Deck, Ashley Flowers revisits Sharon’s case with Detective Vincent Jackson of the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, who inherited the investigation decades later and uncovered critical information that had never been shared publicly. For the first time, detectives are now pointing to a different primary suspect, one who lived near the crime scene and was known to Sharon in the days leading up to her death.
