Behind the Scenes: 2011 CrossFit Games, Part 2

In Part 2, Sevan Matossian catches up with the athletes as they prepare for the skills events. He checks in with them again afterward as they prepare for their next challenge.

Camille Leblanc-Bazinet stays positive throughout the experience.

“I’m just happy to be here, and … you cannot be disappointed if you try your best all the time,” she says.

Pat Barber is having a great time too.

“It’s definitely an awesome, awesome environment to compete in,” the manimal says. “It’s a very supportive group of badass athletes.”

Even though Annie Thorisdottir takes first in the handstand walk, she says winning isn’t everything.

“The main thing is I want to do the best that I know I can do. I get annoyed with myself or frustrated when I know I could’ve done better,” she says.

Matossian also catches up with the production team as they busily prepare video on the first day of competition, and he wades into the stream of CrossFit spectators as they support the vendors around the stadium.
