Collateral is one of the best films of the past two decades. In this film analysis, I look into the themes that make Collateral so brilliant. Vincent uses the nihilistic philosophy to spare him from childhood pain and the guilt of killing people. The question for the viewer is simple. Are Vincent's actions wrong if his beliefs about the world are correct?
