Should I get the new Chase Sapphire Reserve or Preferred Card? #travelhacking

Have you heard that there’s a new Chase Sapphire Reserve card out? It just got released late June 2025, and travel hackers are really excited about this new card, but also torn on it’s it’s higher annual fee is truly worth it. But with the Reserve, there’s sooo much more value built into that $795 annual fee. The Sapphire Reserve is valued to be worth $2500, while the Preferred is valued at $1500.
The biggest difference worth noting?
With the Reserve, you get amazing airport lounge access with 2 free guests. So this card will replace my Venture X after all of Capital One’s lounge changes happen February 2026.
