Karen Ann is a realist/impressionist painter. She is a self-taught painter who started in acrylic but has moved on to painting in oils. She has always loved to draw winning awards in Art beginning at elementary level in school. Karen Ann has been an artist all her life growing up in the hills of Kentucky. She believes in the philosophy of every brush stroke matters. Raised from a humble beginnings explain her values of waste not want not. She paints every painting starting with a challenge with her mind set on composition, values, and color. In her videos she will take you through steps from toning canvas, Notan (value sketch), oil painting, and critique with corrections.
